Do I need to do the Alberta Government Motorcycle Knowledge test before
I do a course?

No.

Do I need to have a driver’s licence to do the course?

Yes.  You must have either:
1) a valid Alberta Class 5 Operator’s Licence or
2) a valid Alberta Class 7 Learner’s Permit and be over 16 years.

I am 16 years old and have my Class 7 Operator’s Licence.
Can I do the course?

Yes.  Students must be a minimum of 16 yrs old and have a parent or legal guardian sign the Parental Waiver.

Will I do the test for the Class 6 Motorcycle Licence at the course?

No.  All new motorcycle riders are now required to take a 45 minute road test through an Alberta Registries to attain their motorcycle licence. Sunday testing is available from our main course site in Edmonton but only for TNT students and you are responsible to register through Callingwood Registry 780-483-4545.

Some rider training schools do not use Alberta Registries to attain the riding portion of the test. Why does TNT not do what other schools do?

TNT was built on understanding the needs of our students. We understand that not all people are comfortable taking their road test in unfamiliar areas of the city. We also understand that each road test is 45 minutes long and with only 1 examiner testing, times can become unworkable very quickly. We have heard of schools cancelling tests or making students rearranging test times due to logistics.

Does TNT provide their students motorcycles to take the road test on?

No, we know that many new riders practice on a motorcycle they are familiar with and prefer to do the Alberta Motorcycle Test on their personal bike. We support the Alberta Governments model to have all testing done from the registries. Our mission is to train you to be a safe and responsible motorcyclist; we are in the training business not the licensing business.
The test motorcycle is required to be licensed and insured specifically for testing not training. The bikes Callingwood uses are newer and meet the insurance requirements and are mechanically checked by a registered motorcycle mechanic on a regular basis to give peace of mind to the student.

Callingwood Registries has stepped up to help you fit your motorcycle riding test into your schedule. They have extended business hours to provide increased test times for motorcyclists. They have the most independent motorcycle examiners in the city working out of their office to serve your needs better.
